Understand
Norwich has a population of about 125,000. At over 800 years old, it was one of the main cities of medieval England, and retains a significant heritage of medieval buildings. In the 1960s, it became a university city with the foundation of the University of East Anglia UEA, which has helped the flourishing of local culture.
The history and culture of Norwich and Norfolk was showcased in the Origins exhibition, which has unfortunately now closed.
